Spring in November

Monday, November 9th, 2009

Around SLOweather, it looks as if the heavy rains a month ago, and follow-on warm weather have created a false spring. A lot of shrubs and trees are blooming early.

Condor Lookout weather station upgraded, data better now…

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

Last Saturday, I traveled up to the Lookout and replaced their old weather station with a new one. The data communications between the outdoor unit and the indoor console and WeatherElement interface is much better, and therefore, the data reported on their temporary web table is better.

Full Moon Tonight, Monday 2 November 2009

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

November’s Full Beaver Moon rises locally at 4:51 PM, just before sunset (5:08 PM). As nice as the weather has been lately, it should be spectacular, and a good evening for a hike to a local hill or mountain top to see it.

This full moon is also the Full Hunters or Blood Moon ( the first full moon following the harvest moon); or the Full Travel Moon, or Full Dying Grass Moon.
